Before making a mold, we first make sure the product is ready for injection molding.

Step 01 — Product Review

We start by understanding your existing product, not redesigning it from scratch.

You can provide 3D files, drawings, reference samples, product photos, or your existing specifications. We review the product structure, function, dimensions, material requirements, assembly method, and expected production volume.

Our goal is to understand what is important to your product and what needs to be maintained during the transition to injection molding.

Step 02 — DFM Review

A design that works well for 3D printing may need adjustments before it can be injection molded.

Our engineers review the design from a manufacturing perspective and identify potential issues that could affect mold making, production, product quality, or cost.

We evaluate areas such as:

  • Wall thickness
  • Draft angles
  • Ribs and bosses
  • Undercuts
  • Parting lines
  • Gate locations
  • Ejection
  • Material selection
  • Potential deformation or shrinkage

We explain the issues clearly and provide practical solutions rather than simply asking you to change the design.


Step 03 — Design Optimization

When changes are required, we work with you to improve the design while keeping the original product function, appearance, and key features in mind.

If we identify opportunities to simplify the structure, improve strength, reduce tooling complexity, or improve production efficiency, we can also provide improvement suggestions.

The final design is confirmed with the customer before moving into tooling.
